War Continues in Gaza

Nahal Oz - Gaza fighters fired an anti-tank missiles into the Israeli school bus, injuring a teenager, on Thursday (07/04/2011). After the missile hit the bus, Palestinian militants fired at least 45 mortar shells into southern Israel, which is about a house.

Action was awarded the Israeli offensive into the Gaza Strip which killed three people and injuring more than 30 people. An ambulance was also hit by the attack.

While berdesingan rockets across the border, short-range missile defense systems of Israel, Iron Dome, ambushed a projectile which leads to the southern port city of Ashkelon, apparently the first time the system was successfully used in combat situations.
The attack on the bus was also the first case involving anti-tank missiles against civilian targets in Israel, and Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak immediately ordered the military to "act quickly" to respond to that.

"An antitank missile was fired directly into the bus," police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld shortly after the attack on the school bus that passes through the front of the Jewish housing Nahal Oz, just across the border from the eastern side of Gaza City.

The military says at least 45 mortars were fired at southern Israel after the attack on the bus, one of which struck a house.

After the attacks, Israel pounding an area in eastern Gaza City, killing a 50-year-old man and wounding five people, including a small child.

Air strikes also hit two Hamas positions in and around Gaza City, and other targets in the southern city, Rafah and Khan Yunis, killing two people and wounding dozens of others, some of them hit by shrapnel that hit an ambulance.

Overall, 34 people injured in the Gaza Strip due to Israeli attacks. Israel launched a 22-day war in the Gaza Strip two years ago with the aim of stopping rocket attacks and mortar fire almost every day to the Jewish state.

The number of attacks from the Palestinian enclave that has decreased dramatically since the war, although during the year 2010 nearly 200 rockets fired into Israel, the military said.

Gaza Strip, a densely populated coastal regions, blockaded by Israel and Egypt after Hamas took power nearly three years ago.

Israeli all-out pounding the Gaza Strip two years ago with a pretext to stop firing rockets into the area almost every day the Jewish state. War in and around Gaza erupted again after a six-month ceasefire ended on December 19, 2008.
